Been to the Mountaintop – Hulu Original Docuseries
Role: Lead Producer
Been to the Mountaintop is a three-part docuseries tracing the journey of a group of amateur rock climbers from Soulsville, an under-resourced neighborhood in South Memphis, TN. With mentorship from iconic figures like Alex Honnold, Phil Henderson, and others in the outdoor community, the group steps beyond city limits to explore the wider world through three formative expeditions. Along the way, they learn to navigate not just rock and alpine terrain, but the unfamiliar landscapes of trust, perseverance, and purpose. Their journey leads to a final challenge: summiting Mt. Kenya, Africa’s second-highest peak, where they’ll need to rely on each other and every hard-earned lesson to reach the top.
As Lead Producer, I oversaw production and post-production. Responsibilities included budget and schedule creation, 16 domestic and international shoots, hiring and managing 12 person team (remote and in-person), and maintaining relationships with client and stakeholders.
