Department of Creative Comms, NYC
Role: Editor // Producer // Camera
A short film created to introduce the NYC Mayor’s annual State of the City address. The piece highlights the city’s cultural breadth through the lens of four key policy priorities, offering a snapshot of everyday New Yorkers whose lives reflect the biggest challenges facing the city. Premiered live at the State of the City Address, Kings Theatre, Brooklyn and broadcast across local and national networks.
The Department of Creative Communications operates as a marketing agency within New York City government, partnering with city agencies to produce campaigns that inform, engage, and advocate for New Yorkers. I worked as a Senior Producer on the team, creating video content for public initiatives, citywide events, and policy-driven storytelling. My time with the department culminated in the production of the State of the City address campaign.
